Aug 19, 1 Here is a gib key removal tool I made to remove a flywheel on a Lister CS diesel. It is straight forward to as how it is used. It can be made with just a lathe and drill press. The dimensions would vary as to size of crankshaft and key. This one is 1/2" HRS. with 7/16" fine screws. Attachments DSCN4343.jpg

Tap the chisel between the gear and the key finger and hopefully the key will slide out the keyway. Then the gear should slide off the shaft.
